SORIA GAINS CA LEAGUE OF CONSERVATION VOTERS ENDORSEMENT
FRESNO, C.A. – The California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV) has joined the long list of endorsements backing Esmeralda Soria for Congress. Since 1972 the CLCV has proudly invested over $80 Million on candidates they firmly know to be environmental champions.
“The California League of Conservation Voters is proud to endorse Esmeralda Soria for Congress. Soria has already demonstrated her fight against polluters threatening our environment by rejecting Oil and all Corporate PAC money. She is committed to continue her fight to reduce pollution, clean drinking water, protect endangered species, and invest in renewable energy. Congressional District 16 needs a leader at the federal level who will not just claim to, but will actually be a champion for our environment and deliver results. Esmeralda Soria is clearly the environmental choice in this race,” said Mike Young, CLCV Political Director.
CLCV is known for electing and cultivating environmental champions, holding lawmakers accountable, and building political power to transform our political system and achieve climate justice.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the California League of Conservation Voters. For far too long, politicians have neglected the health of our planet and communities. We must begin to think of the Central Valley as a hub for renewable energy investments. With the right leadership, we can transform the Central Valley into the Silicon Valley of renewable energy,” said Esmeralda Soria.
Soria is committed to rejecting corporate PAC money to ensure working class families are taken seriously. Many Central Valley families are living with the effects of bad air quality and unsafe drinking water. The CLCV’s endorsement gives Soria the backing of over 150,000 members across the state of California, affirming she is the environmental choice.
Esmeralda Soria is currently running for Congress in Congressional District 16, which covers Fresno, Madera and Merced County. She is on the Fresno City Council where she represents District 1. Esmeralda is fighting for health care for all, college affordability and campaign finance reform.
